Look through X1
This is the idea: the real world stays put, and a green layer appears only when you need it.

Excuse me, where is the metro?

Today I want to tell you about Focuz. We put the real world first — the digital layer appears only when you need it. That’s why X1 is built to be read at a glance. The text sits in your line of sight while your hands stay free.

Why Focuz X1?
At a glance
In view, never in the way
25° is enough for notifications, captions and AI answers without blocking the world.
No camera — on purpose
In meetings, banks and classrooms nobody has to ask “are you recording?”
Prescription is built in
Drop-in lenses work without degrading the waveguide optics.
Capabilities
What the display does
Live captions & translation
The conversation appears in your line of sight — read along with someone speaking another language.
Notifications without the phone
An important message arrives — you see it in a glance. No doom-scrolling.
AI answers in view
Ask Focuz AI and the answer appears on the display: reminders, directions, quick facts.
0.7 mm waveguide
The glass that carries the display is 0.7 mm thin and over 90% transparent — ordinary glasses from the outside.
- Diffractive waveguide — right eye
- Monochrome green — crisp and efficient
- Image at infinity — no eye strain
“25° isn’t where we ran out of room. It’s the sweet spot for reading at a glance.”

FAQ
Questions
01When does it ship?
X1 is in hardware development (EVT 2026). Focuz X ships first and X1 follows, in deposit order. We document the progress on the blog.
02Why is the display green and monochrome?
Our eyes are most sensitive to green and green micro-LEDs are the most efficient. One colour also avoids the rainbow fringing of full-colour waveguides — ideal for text.
03I need prescription lenses — can I wear X1?
Yes. Drop-in lenses matched to the waveguide optics (single-vision and progressive) are being developed; you get fitted at Focuz Optics.
04How is it different from X?
Focuz X is camera-first (photos, video, AI vision) with no display. X1 is display-first (waveguide) with no camera. Both work with the Focuz App.
